Construction and Engineering - Conference

Events

Brief.

Oracle Construction and Engineering approached asembl., to create a thought leadership event to rival their sister event in the USA. Oracle’s objective was to host an event for their EMEA customers to hear about the industry's issues, meet Oracle partners and learn more about their available products.

Solution.

The initial brief covered all of Europe with emphasis on transport links. After extensive research, we shortlisted venues in London, Berlin and Paris. After site visits to each destination, we decided on the Pullman St Pancras for the main event. The theatre space available was precisely the sort of space we were after. It had seating for 400 people, which was our target audience quantity and a great networking area to sell space to sponsors.

The location also worked perfectly for international travel and local people alike. We held the evening dinner reception next door at the Renaissance St Pancras. For the event, we looked after all the branding for the hotel, the build and design of the flagship Oracle stand and the contract management, liaison and stands for all 14 sponsors.

Results.

The event was a great success with a higher than anticipated attendance and valuable interaction for all the sponsors. The overall feedback was that there were many meaningful and relevant conversations with the attendees. A delegate scanner system was used for registration, monitoring session attendees and allowing the sponsors to track whom they spoke. This data collection provided Oracle with an in-depth overview of the event audience and laid the foundations for future growth. The US senior team from Oracle Construction and Engineering flew in to attend the event, and due to the glowing feedback, we are already planning next year’s.
