Resuscitation Council UK is quite literally a lifeline in research and education for resuscitation health care. They wanted to bring their community of members and instructors together post-pandemic to share their incredible work and explore developments.

Hosted at The Vox, Birmingham, the event was a resounding success and a celebration of the vibrant Resus community. Over 600+ attendees, 84 speakers, 23 panel sessions, and 3 parallel content tracks filled the two days with a wealth of knowledge and innovation. The event was topped off with a glamorous gala dinner at the Hilton Metropole, providing a perfect setting for our community to celebrate their achievements.

asembl. seamlessly integrated into the RCUK team, becoming an invaluable extension of their workforce. We provided consultancy, planning and project management, and on-the-day delivery support, ensuring the event ran smoothly and efficiently. This collaborative effort was a testament to the strength of our partnership and the power of teamwork.

With the aim of going as paperless as possible, a bespoke event app became a one-stop shop for attendees to get all the information they needed at their fingertips. Users could create personalised agendas to plan their days, take notes during sessions, access supporting literature and presentation slides, receive push notifications and updates directly, and access an interactive map. This little piece of tech was pivotal in the smooth guest experience and received lots of praise from attendees on the day.

Throughout the conference, attendees could network, catch up with peers, and speak to charity sponsors and exhibitors. There were also training sessions and demonstrations, including a VR resuscitation station. We also added a live Twitter wall that captured the excitement of the two days online to spread social awareness.

Due to the conference’s popularity and unprecedented numbers of registrations, we had to rework the room layout and catering in the final days before the live day. This was a great problem to have, and our team liaised with the venue and suppliers to effortlessly manage the continued growth.

Overall, the RCUK Conference was a huge hit. The atmosphere was buzzing, and attendance was phenomenal. It was a long-awaited celebration and reconnection after the Covid-years, and feedback was that the content was inspiring and educational. We were thrilled to be chosen to partner with this incredible organisation and help them share their message.

Thanks again for your wonderful support and help with the conference. The success was absolutely down to the wonderful teamwork and I was privileged to be part of it.
