A resilient event network built to keep thousands of delegates, sponsors and exhibitors connected from the first arrival to the final session.
The AWS Summit London is one of the UK’s largest technology events, bringing together thousands of delegates, exhibitors and industry leaders for a packed programme of keynote sessions, networking and innovation.
As the event continued to grow, so did the demands on its infrastructure. Behind every registration, live demonstration and exhibitor stand sat a physical network that needed to be installed with precision to support business-critical systems operating throughout the event.
To deliver the structured cabling infrastructure required to support a complex temporary event network capable of serving thousands of attendees, sponsors and operational systems.
The solution needed to provide a robust, scalable physical network that would enable reliable connectivity across the venue and support the successful delivery of every digital service throughout the summit.
Working across the venue from build-up through to live operations, Noba designed and installed the structured cabling infrastructure that formed the backbone of the event network.
The project included more than 22km of Cat6 cabling, 250 hardwired network connections and over 4,000 cable terminations, all delivered to demanding event timescales. The infrastructure supported registration systems, keynote theatres, sponsor activations, production teams and operational services, with every connection carefully planned, installed and tested to ensure reliable performance throughout the event.
The structured cabling infrastructure provided the physical foundation for one of the UK’s largest technology events, supporting the wider network throughout the summit.
It enabled critical event systems including registration, live presentations, sponsor activations and production operations, while supporting a network that handled 28,000 connected devices, 18,000 concurrent wireless users and more than 1,200 Mbps of internet traffic without interruption.
