Keeping one of London’s busiest festive events safe, connected & operational.
Every year, Regent Street closes to traffic and transforms into the Festive Mile, welcoming more than 100,000 visitors to one of London’s best known seasonal events.
To keep an event of this scale running safely, organisers needed more than temporary infrastructure. They needed a resilient CCTV and connectivity solution that could be installed rapidly, operate flawlessly and provide complete confidence throughout the event.
To design and deploy a temporary CCTV and connectivity network capable of supporting real-time monitoring, secure communications and operational oversight across a complex city-centre environment.
The solution needed to install quickly with minimal disruption, deliver uninterrupted performance and provide the reliability of a permanent network within a temporary event setting.
We designed and deployed a fully integrated temporary CCTV and connectivity solution tailored to the unique demands of the Festive Mile.
The installation included a secure temporary CCTV network, dedicated control room WiFi, resilient VPN connectivity and interference-free wireless links, all operating through a single LAN architecture. Despite the complexity of the environment, the entire system was designed, installed and fully commissioned in just five hours, minimising disruption while ensuring every element was ready before visitors arrived.
This included:
More than 100,000 visitors were supported throughout the event with 100% network uptime, secure CCTV coverage and continuous 24/7 monitoring across key operational areas.
The technology performed with the reliability of a permanent installation despite being deployed on a temporary schedule, giving event organisers complete confidence in their visibility, operational communications and event safety throughout the Festive Mile.
